We welcomed our new vicar Revd Andy Simpson on 13th December 2020. After four months of lockdown he can now begin to go out and meet his flock in the villages he serves.

The church is open every day from 9.00 am - 6.00 pm. We are able to worship every week in church provided we comply with social distancing requirements.

Local boy made good, John Taylor, had the church built between 1517 and 1533 and his coat of arms and civil and ecclesiastical honours are to be found inscribed on the walls of the nave.

Our Sunday service at present is

10.30 am - A holy Communion Service which includes one hymn sung by Revd andy or a member of the congregation as a solo whilst congregational singing is not allowed. There is a sermon and the service lasts about 40 minutes

When Covid resstrictions allow we will bring out the toys and books for the Children's Corner again but visiting children are given play bags and colouring things to do and are always welcome

To find out about what's going on in the Churches and the Village, pick up a copy of our colour parish magazine, 'The Barton Chime', from the church.
